This is a small 500 square foot addition to a local landmark. When Jason Brenner, owner and principal of CDP, first started his architecture apprenticeship after graduating Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture in 1992, he worked for Landmarks Design & Associates. LDA was and is a leading architecture firm in sustainable adaptive reuse of historic structures. While there, Jason learned to respect and preserve the character of historic buildings while still creating designs that meet today's functional requirements. Most of the older buildings come with their own rules, the trick is deciphering them and utilizing them...tastefully. We think we did that here.
